History

The idea of decentralized payments came to Roman Deev - CEO and founder of the project during the development of the first DEX on the TON blockchain in May 2022 under the BITON brand. In one of the meetings, a model of linking BITON NFT Marketplace and DEX was invented, according to which users could buy NFTs not only for the currency set by the seller, but also for third-party currencies, which reduces the number of user actions and increased conversion due to greater flexibility.

DEX participated in such a model as an exchange, with the seller receiving the right amount in the right token based on the results of the sale. In July 2022, the long-awaited launch of the first DEX on BITON's TON blockchain took place, on which the automatic exchange technology was tested.

After that, it was decided to expand the potential market by developing a similar solution for EVM networks. The most popular of them are Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon and Arbitrum. After that, the decentralized payment gateway project became independent and got its own brand - Polus Payments.

Idea

Polus Payments is the first truly decentralized service for accepting crypto-payments, as well as a SaaS platform for business management. Polus covers all business requirements due to the decentralized structure at the core of the project. It can be used in areas such as e-commerce, EdTech, FinTech, and decentralized Web3 services such as lending protocols, marketplaces, etc.

A key component of a decentralized application is usability, which should be on par with centralized applications. Polus Payments solves this problem by implementing additional solutions that extend the functionality of the underlying technology.
